Testimony from Camp

Last year at camp, I didn't have fun. I didn't get much out of the sermons. I only liked the trail riding. It made me not want to go any more. I became determined to no longer go. 


I found out this last spring that my parents were going to make me go again. I wasn't happy and tried to find reasons not to go and ways to talk them out of it. They made me go. 


Well, this year at camp was the best year I have had. :D I wasn't getting much out of the sermons until Thursday night. Pastor Kip started talking about the hypocrites inside the church. At the end of the service he had us stand and sing Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone). When we got to "my chains are gone. I've been set free" I couldn't sing any more. I didn't know why. I thought maybe I wasn't saved, but I was sure I had been already. I started thinking through it. So I made sure that night. When I confirmed that I was already saved I searched for unconfessed sin in my life. I found that I was angry and bitter towards my mom for forcing me to go to public school this last year.


I confessed my sin and I had the peace that Paul talk about in Philippians 4:7. Peace that passes all understanding. It was incredible!!! The rest of the week was amazing. I enjoyed it. I wasn't scared and I felt like I was safe. (Of course I was, I just felt unsure that something was going to happen. I guess it did.) 


We arrived home and my dog was extremely excited!! (I just thought you would like to know that she loves me best!! :P) When we got home, I made things right with my mom.  Since then I have already experienced changes in my daily walk with Christ. Today, for example, I finished my devotions and felt the Joy that Pastor Kip was talking about at camp and "Pastor" at church. 


I want to encourage you all. If you don't know Christ already, PLEASE contact someone and ask. If you do...search His word, ask Him to work in your life, look for opportunities, and meditate. If you need prayer I would love to pray for you, if you will just tell me. <3
